30 Dinners for $350
 
The following recipes have been modified to feed a family size of 6-8 and the cost has been reflected of that.

Dependent upon your local sales and what you have in the pantry these ingredients should cost you $350 or less.
 
Meat:
Chicken Thighs (2lbs)
Chicken Breast with bone in (2lbs)
Chicken breast (5 lbs)
2 lbs sausage
Ground Beef (15 lbs)
Either Turkey  or ham hocks
Cheap cut of beef
 
Fresh Produce:
5lbs onion
6 Bell peppers
4 whole garlic bulbs
20 lbs potatoes
celery
3 lbs carrots
1 lb baby carrots
3 lbs sweet potatoes
 
Spices (all of these can be purchased at a dollar store)
onion powder
parsley
bay leaves
 
Canned Goods:
Chicken broth
Beef broth 
2 cans white beans
2 cans Pinto beans
2 cans chili beans
2 cans Ranch style Beans (brand name)
2 cans pineapple chunks
4 cans red kidney beans
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cans tomato soup
4 cans tomato sauce
6 cans spaghetti sauce
BBQ sauce
ketchup
mustard
2 cans pork and beans
chili sauce
6 cans italian dice tomatoes
4 cans corn
2 cans alfredo sauce

Large bag of rice
2 packets taco seasoning
sugar
2 boxes Mac and Cheese
flour
4 packets country gravy
2 boxes Angel hair pasta
2 boxes of elbow noodles
2 boxes ziti noodles
2 boxes linguine noodles
soy sauce
vinegar
brown sugar
corn starch
tortillas
maple syrup
 
Frozen:
2 bags broccoli
2 bags peas
carrots
 
Dairy:
Eggs (one dozen)
Gallon of milk
2 boxes of butter
shredded cheese (2 bags or 4 cups)
 
Recipes
 
Chicken Rice and some other stuff
 
2 c rice 1lb cubed chicken 1 onion
2 Bell peppers 1 garlic clove 1 C chicken broth
5 c frozen broccoli 1 c shredded cheese hot sauce optional
 
Cube and cook chicken. Sauté onions, garlic and rice until rice is brown. Add the broth and let simmer a few minutes. Add the broccoli, peppers and cheese. Add the hot sauce if you’d like. Serve with crackers, tortillas etc.
 
Taco Beans
2 cans each of white, pinto and chili beans 1 lb ground beef
2/3 c BBQ sauce 1 envelope taco seasoning
Fry ground beef, drain. Add everything together with enough water to cover. Let simmer 5 minutes before serving
 
Not Quite Peccadillo
 
1 lb ground beef 10 potatoes peeled and cubed
2 cans tomato sauce (seasonings of your choice: garlic, salt, pepper, etc) 
 
Fry ground beef, drain. Boil potatoes, drain. Mix everything together, simmer for ten minutes.
 
Hamburger Hash
 
1 lb ground beef 3 lbs potatoes milk
Butter 1 can corn
 
Fry ground beef, drain. Boil potatoes. Mash with butter and milk to desired consistency. Mix together topping with corn.
 
Beans and Burger
 
1 lb hamburger 2 lg cans pork and beans
2 c ketchup 1 tbsp mustard 2 tbsp sugar
Onion powder garlic chili sauce
 
Fry ground beef, drain. Add everything else. Let simmer 10 minutes before serving.
 
Goulash
 
1 lb ground beef 2 boxes Mac and Cheese ½ butter
1 c milk 4 c spaghetti sauce
1 c shredded cheese
 
Fry ground beef, drain. Boil macaroni noodles, drain. Heat milk and butter until melted. Add cheese powder and whisk until lumps are gone. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add noodles and burger, mix well. 
(note: add 1 tbsp sugar to reduce acidity)
 
Beef soup
 
Cheap cut of Beef (1-2 lbs) 1 lb fresh carrots 2 celery stalks
5 potatoes parsley
 
Boil beef until tender skimming the top of water occasionally. Add all fresh vegetables. Add a sprinkle of parsley
 
Spanish Rice
Vegetable oil 2 c rice   2 cloves garlic onion
1 c Chicken broth 2 cans tomato sauce
Add oil and rice to skillet. Sauté until rice is done. Add onion, garlic broth and sauce. 
 
Creamy Chicken over Mashed Potatoes
 
2 lbs chicken thighs butter flour   frozen peas
Carrots
 
Boil carrots. Boil chicken thighs. Mix butter and flour in pan until melted and golden. Slowly whisk in chicken stock from boiling chicken until creamy. Add peas and carrots. Shred chicken and add it. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
 
Country Gravy Sausage Bowls
 
2 lbs sausage 2 packets country gravy mix 3-5 potatoes
Scrambled eggs
 
Fry sausage, crumble it. Make gravy packets. Make scrambled eggs. Cube or slice potatoes and fry them. Serve everything in a bowl.
 
Red Beans and Rice  (slow cooker) 
Smoked turkey or ham hocks (either or) 2 cans kidney beans onion
2 -3 bay leaves garlic salt and pepper rice
 
Add everything to slow cooker for 6 hours. Remove meat. Take meat off bone. Put meat back in, mix. Serve over rice
 
Chicken Creole
3 cans Italian diced tomatoes 2 bell peppers 1 onion 2 garlic cloves
1 lb cubed chicken rice
 
Toss everything into the skillet until the chicken is done. Serve over rice.
 
Mac and Oil
2 boxes Angel Hair noodles olive oil 2 cloves garlic
1 lb ground beef ketchup
 
Fry beef, drain. Boil noodles, drain. Fry garlic in olive oil. Add everything together and top with ketchup.
 
Rice and Beans
1 bag white rice 2 cans Ranch Style Beans 1 lb Ground Beef
Cook everything together, eat with tortilla shells
 
Maple Chicken (slow cooker)
 
2 chicken breasts (cubed) 6 tbsp maple syrup 3 sweet potatoes (peeled and cubed 1 lb baby carrots 1 onion
 
Add everything to slow cooker for 6-8 hours
 
Hawaiian Chicken
1 lb cubed chicken 2 cans pineapple chunks white rice
2 tbsp soy sauce 2 bell peppers 1 tsp vinegar
1 c brown sugar corn starch
 
Fry chicken, add pineapples (with the juice) add everything else. Use the corn starch to thicken it, serve over rice.
 
Baked Pasta
 
1 box ziti noodles 2 cans spaghetti sauce 1 c cheese
 
Boil noodles. Mix everything together. Put into a casserole dish for 20 minutes at 350.
 
Grams Noodle bake
1 box ziti noodles 2 cans cr of mushroom soup 2 cans tomato soup
1 bell pepper 1 lb ground beef
 
Boil noodles, fry ground beef, drain. Mix everything together in casserole dish for 20 minutes at 350
 
Cheeseburger Stew
1 lb ground beef celery onions carrots potatoes
Flour garlic 1 c cheese 3 c beef broth
 
Fry ground beef, drain. Add to beef broth. Add celery, carrots, potatoes, onions and garlic. When potatoes are soft, add flour to thicken. Add Cheese.
 
Easy Potato soup
 

  1. 8 potatoes celery onion 1 c milk   salt and pepper to taste 
  2. Peel and cube potatoes. Put in a saucepan along with the onions and celery. Add water, but don't quite cover the vegetables. Bring to a boil, lower heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes, or until all of the vegetables are very tender .Using a potato masher, coarsely crush the potatoes, but don't mash them--you want chunks left. Add enough milk or cream to thin to desired thickness and add salt& pepper to taste.

 
Alfredo Broccoli Bake
Remainder of frozen broccoli 2 boxes linguine noodles
2 jars alfredo sauce
 
Steam broccoli, boil noodles. Mix with sauce. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
 
Chicken Soup
Bone in Chicken Breasts (2 lbs) Carrots onion
Celery rice
 
Boil chicken until tender. Remove. Add carrots, onion, and celery to same pot of water. While those cook, shred or cut chicken Put it back in the pot. Make rice. Serve.
