Cybertronian

Cybertronians are a species of sentient, robotic organisms originating from the planet of Cybertron. Cybertronians once lived under an oppressive and corrupt government. That all changed when the Great War began, thus leading towards great disaster on Cybertron. 

Your Cybertronian construction grants you traits common to all Cybertronians.

Ability Score Increase. +2 to any one stat and +1 to any other stat.

Age. Cybertronians live extremely long lives and are practically immortal. They can still be killed through various means. The longest living Cybertronian was 6 million Earth years old.

Alignment. Cybertronians are a varied species containing many individuals that are across the Alignment Spectrum.

Size. Cybertronians vary in size from the smallest Minicon to the largest Titan. Your size is medium.

Speed. Your Base walking Speed is 30 feet.

Additional Proficiencies. Cybertronians come from a wide variety of trades and skillsets. You gain two skill proficiencies of your choice.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Cybertronian. Cybertronians typically will learn any language on a planet they must infiltrate, provided they can access its technology.

Onboard Weapons. You have a series of simple ranged and melee weapons built into your body. You have your choice of bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage for your melee weapon. The ranged weapon has a range of 30/60. Both weapons deal 1d4 if your size is Small, 1d6 if your size is Medium, and 1d8 if your size is Large. You have proficiency with these weapons.

Shielding. Your Cybertronian anatomy provides you with a small shield generator only enough for yourself. You have temporary hitpoints equal to your Constitution Modifier multiplied by your proficiency modifier. You regain this shield after a short rest.

Alternate Form. As a bonus action, you can assume the form of a vehicle as a disguise, means of transport, or even for combat.  Choosing an alternate form is a major point in a Cybertronian’s life, and can only be changed if a suitable form is visible within 60 feet. You can only change your Alternate Form once per Long Rest and the new vehicle is of equal size to your current one. Choose a base form from the list below. You gain the benefits listed in the chosen form and are proficient with the associated skill for that form. 

  • Work with your DM to figure out the stats of your vehicle form if it is a combat orientated vehicle.

Small Wheeled Vehicle (Motorcycles, ATVs, small cars like a smart car, VW beetle)

Size: Your size is Small

Ace Driver. You have proficiency with land vehicles

Speed. Small and Agile, you can weave in between enemies. Your speed is 50 ft.

Small Construction. When a creature would make an attack of opportunity on you, they roll at disadvantage to hit. 

Swift Escape. You can take the Disengage or Dash action as a bonus action. 

Medium Wheeled Vehicle (Sports cars, light trucks)

Size: Your size is Medium

Ace Driver. You have proficiency with land vehicles

Speed. You’re are low to the ground and blazing fast. Your speed in vehicle mode is 60 ft. 

Hit and Run. When you are in vehicle mode and take the dash action, you can make a shove attempt against a creature as a bonus action during your movement. If the shove is successful, the creature cannot make attacks of opportunity against you and is moved 10 feet in any perpendicular direction determined by a d6. 

Heavy Wheeled Vehicle (Vans, heavy trucks, small construction vehicles)

Size: Your size is Large

Ace Driver. You have proficiency with land vehicles

Speed. Big and heavy, your size makes you a force to be reckoned with. Your speed in vehicle mode is 40 ft

Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Roadkill. When you are in vehicle mode and take the dash action, you can make a shove attempt against a creature as a bonus action during your movement. If the shove is successful, the creature takes 1d6 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage. At 10th level, this damage increases to 2d6 + your strength modifier.

Aircraft (Most fixed-wing aircraft and small spaceships; variant covers VTOL craft)

Size: Your size is Large

Ability Score Increase. +2 to your Dexterity score

Ace Pilot. You have proficiency with air vehicles

Speed. Your thrusters roar to life as you take to the skies. Your speed in vehicle mode is 10 ft, and you gain a fly speed of 80 feet.

Hover. While in robot mode, you can gain a fly speed of 30 ft and can hover in place.

Special: You can choose a form capable of hovering flight, but your fly speed in vehicle mode is reduced to 60 feet.

Feats 

Advanced Alternate Form

When you take this feat, you may replace your alternate form with one of the below advanced alternate modes. Doing so requires a Long Rest. At the end of the rest, you lose any traits from your old form and gain those of the new one.

Emplacement (Howitzers, Mortars, Large Rocket Launchers)

Size: Your size is Medium

Modified Superstructure Your Constitution increases by 2, to a maximum of 22.

Stable. While in robot mode, you have advantage on saving throws and checks to avoid being knocked prone.

Speed. Your alternate form has a speed of 0 feet.

Armored Body. Your alternate mode receives a +2 bonus to armor class.

Entrenched. While you are on the ground in your alternate mode, you are immune to being knocked prone. You also automatically fail Dexterity Checks and Saves.

Heavy Mount. In your alternate mode, your weapon deals an additional die of damage.

Super Heavy Wheeled Vehicle (Most construction vehicles, trains, tanks)

Modified Superstructure Your Strength and Constitution increase by 2, to a maximum of 22.

Speed. Big and heavy, your size makes you a force to be reckoned with. Your speed in vehicle mode is 40 ft

Large Size. Your size becomes Large in vehicle and robot mode. You can wield normal weapons as light weapons, and two-handed weapons are considered one handed for you.

Heavy Aircraft (Cargo aircraft and large spaceships)

Natural Flier. You have proficiency in the Pilot skill.

Large Size. Your size becomes Large in vehicle and robot mode. You can wield normal weapons as light weapons, and two-handed weapons are considered one handed for you.

Speed. Your thrusters roar to life as you take to the skies. Your speed in vehicle mode is 10 ft, and you gain a fly speed of 40 feet.

Hover. While in robot mode, you can gain a fly speed of 20 feet.

Triple Changer

You gain the following benefits:

  • +1 to one ability score of your choice, to a maximum of 20.

  • You acquire a secondary vehicle mode from the normal list of alternate modes. If you have the Advanced Alternate Form Feat, you may choose one from its list as well. You gain any vehicle traits when transforming into the vehicle mode, and have access to any robot mode traits from all your forms when in robot mode.
