Ferocity (Level 1-3)

  • Your Ferocity is measured as a number. It cannot exceed 6. It resets to 0 after a long or short rest.

  • You gain or lose Ferocity by the following actions:

  • You gain 1 Ferocity point upon the use of Lycan Abilities.

  • You gain 1 Ferocity point during the night, or full moon.

  • You may reduce your hp by 5% (Rounded up) to gain 1 Ferocity point.

  • You lose 1 Ferocity point every ten minutes that you don’t gain a Ferocity point.

  • Ferocity incorporates a sliding scale, you gain buffs dependant on your Ferocity level:

Level 0: No buffs or changes.

Level 1: Heightened Senses – You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light), gain advantage on wisdom (perception) checks relying on hearing/smell.

Level 2: Elongated fangs – Gain advantage to charisma checks (Intimidation).

Level 3: Enhanced Agility – You gain 10 feet of movement and can use the dash action as a bonus action.

Level 4: Unnatural resilience – Your unarmoured AC becomes 11 + Dex Mod + Con Mod. While transformed you gain resistance to piercing, bludgeoning and slashing damage.

Level 5: Primal Claws – Grow claws, these deal 1d8 (Plus Dex mod or Str mod) damage and you can use your bonus action for an extra attack, you are unable to equip weapons or shields. Damage goes up to 1d10 at lvl 10 and 1d12 at level 18. Become magical at level 9.

Level 6: No return – At the beginning of each turn, make a charisma saving throw, on a fail you transform into your lycan form. The DC is equal to 10, after each successful save you increase the DC by 2, on a natural 20 you may choose to lower your Ferocity by 1.

Transformation (level 1)

When you start a round with 6 Ferocity points you transform. If you transform you gain the following benefits. When you start a round with below 6 Ferocity then you transform back into a human:

Beastly Strength – You gain a bonus to melee damage rolls equal to half your proficiency bonus (Rounded down). You also have advantage on strength checks and strength saving throws.

Cursed Weakness – Vulnerability to Damage from Silvered Weapons.

Bloodlust – At the start of your turn, if you’ve taken any damage since the beginning of your last turn, you must make a charisma saving throw to maintain control. The DC equals 10, or half the total damage you’ve taken from attacks since your last turn, whichever number is higher. On a failed save you must move directly towards the nearest creature to you and use the attack action against that creature. If there is more than one possible target, the DM chooses the target. You then regain control for the remainder of the turn. You may choose to automatically fail a bloodlust check and lose 1 Ferocity point.

Bite Level 2

As a bonus action, you can make a bite attack against a prone target within range, or immediately after taking the attack action. Add your strength mod and proficiency to the attack roll, add primal rites and strength mod to the damage dice. At level 12 you heal for the amount of damage you deal to your target. Gain 1 Ferocity point on use.

Absolution/Retribution Level 2

As a bonus action, instantly gain or lose 6 Ferocity points, once per short/long rest.

Pounce Level 3

If you move at least 20 feet straight towards a creature and then hit with an attack, it must succeed on a strength saving throw contested by your athletics, if it fails it is knocked prone. Gain 1 Ferocity point on use.

Hunter’s Defence Level 5

As a reaction you  can increase your AC by 2. Gain 1 Ferocity point per use.


Stalker’s Prowess Level 6

Your speed when in lycan form increases by 10 feet, add 10 feet to long jump distance and 3 feet to high jump distance.

Improved Predatory Strikes Level 6

Unarmed Strikes are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks/damage. When you score a critical hit you may add a primal rites die to the damage.

Ravage Level 7

As a bonus action, you can choose one creature that you can see as your mark. All attacks against that target for the next minute deal an additional primal rites die of damage, this ends early if you go unconscious. Regain use of this ability on short or long rest.

Rampage Level 8

You may declare you are rampaging when you attack, your attacks all have advantage, however all attacks aimed at you until your next turn have advantage as well.

Hunters’ Call Level 9

Whilst transformed, allies gain advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature within 5 feet of you that is hostile to you.

Beast Regeneration Level 11

At the start of each of your turns, you regain hit points equal to 1 + your constitution modifier (minimum 1) if you have no more than half of your hit points left. You do not gain this benefit if you have 0 hit points. Whilst transformed.

Beastly Precision Level 11

You gain a bonus to melee attack rolls made with your unarmed strikes equal to half of your proficiency bonus (rounded down) whilst transformed.

Pack Hunter Level 13

You have advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of your allies is within 5 feet of the creature and isn’t incapacitated.

Lycan Alpha Level 18

Starting at level 18, your strength and constitution increase by 2, your maximum for those scores is now 22.

Lycanthropy Mastery Level 19

You may choose to lower and increase your Ferocity points at will, if in combat this counts as a bonus action and you can raise and lower your Ferocity points however cannot do both in the same turn.. When you transform into a lycan your wounds heal, and your health becomes full once more.
