Grand Revel Asharra Formations

Recommended Grand Revel Asharra Formations

Evergreen and Only Asharra Formation

Specializations:

Bruenor: Shield Master (he is within two slots of both tanks)

Celeste: War Domain (she is in the column behind the tanks)

Nayeli: Oath of Devotion (always; unlocks health share and a lot of extra health for your entire party)

Paultin: Additional Secrets

Calliope: College of Valor (damage) or College of Lore (defense, she is within two slots of both tanks)

Asharra: Potpourri (only option when DPS) and second Bond can’t qualify for Paragon of Kir Sabal so it doesn’t matter.

Minsc: Beast. Undead may make sense depending on your wall.

Hitch: Charismatic (feel free to experiment with both options, neither seems to provide a significant bonus over the other in my testing at higher levels, but might at lower)

Makos: Dark Blessing

Havilar: Battle Master (damage) or Speedy Sacrifice (to spam her ultimate which can snare and eventually root a target)

This is one of the rare formations where Makos can be positioned to trigger his Draw Power ability, a 2x multiplier. Doing so does position Paultin such that stacks of Magical Secrets are not maximized (3 vs 4), but each stack is a 1.5x multiplier.

Havilar isn’t as strong as she used to be, testing Tyril Moonbeam in a single tank formation or even Wild Shape in a dual tank formation may be worthwhile.

Seven Stack Watchful Order Asharra Formation

The go to Bonds of Potpourri and Half Bloods. Including K’thriss and Donaar to unlock the Watchful Order 7 stack bonus with four buffs qualifying for the 5 stack bonus.

Seven Stack Dual Tank Watchful Order Asharra Formation

The go to Bonds of Potpourri and Half Bloods. Including Turiel and Donaar to unlock the Watchful Order 7 stack bonus with four buffs qualifying for the 5 stack bonus. Omin should be able to take Assassin specialization and Makos can trigger Draw Power ability (hooray for an extra 2x bonus). Thanks for optimization tip, @Operations

Five Stack Watchful Order Asharra Formation

The go to Bonds of Potpourri and Half Bloods. Including Bruenor to take advantage of his Dwarven Glory ability and/or Talin’s superior damage buffs over Donaar. Probably my least favorite of the recommended formations, but it is more of a symbolic recommendation to remind people to look outside the box for their best Asharra formation and not get tunnel vision trying to max out Spell Caster School.

High ilvl Evergreen Asharra Formation

The go to Bonds of Potpourri and Half Bloods. This formation avoids stacking mechanics such as Generous Djinn or Morbid Excitement (make sure to get Jaheria in ASAP and she should have 50+ Lingering Anger stacks before your wall), and instead relies on high Evergreen ilvls to provide a more consistent damage number. The BUD potential should be lower than either of the two options above, even at more extreme Evergreen ilvls (7.5k+), but at very high (5k+) may be good enough (with some debuff swapping) to get you to the kill/soft wall (zone 1002). Mountain is a great choice for Gromma if you are not walling out on a boss level where Briv can taunt away the monsters before enough Spiked Shell stacks are applied. I still like Arctic to keep progression more even, despite the lower BUD potential.
