What are the 2 base mods?

[IVCS] Illusio Vitae Custom Skeleton Base
This is the Skeleton mod, it replaces the original game skeleton with new ones with more bones that can be used to pose and animated

[IVCS] Unique Racial Bodies Base
This mod separates the models of each race and gender on SmallClothes (naked body) and The Emperor’s Set, it is required since the added bones don’t scale between the races that use shared models, without this, you will get problems like stretched out fingers on some races

FOR GENERAL USERS AND GPOSERS

• You need to use body mods that are made for IVCS like IVCS TBSE, IVCS Freyja, The hrBody 3 IVCS, The Body SE-X IVCS to use the extra posable bones

• IVCS Freyja, IVCS The Body SE, The Body SE-X IVCS modpacks are 3D models-only mods, you still need to install their original body mods for their textures or the bodies will be invisible

• These mods contain “Metadata” and it is suggested that you use EITHER TexTools OR Penumbra, don’t use both at the same time or you might get issues like models not applying correctly on some races

• You need Anamnesis https://github.com/imchillin/Anamnesis to pose the extra bones, you can find them listed in the “3D View” tab as they are not added to the GUI view

• The bones follow Japanese naming, with iv_ in front to identify that these are added from IVCS

• Body and gear mods that use IVCS will need to have their models separated for each race, this is because game auto-scaling with race hierarchy doesn’t work on the added bones, this will cause models to look like the parts rigged with custom bones get stretched out if not done properly, some of the races can still share models due to their similar bone structure and size

• These are the bodies that you will need to rig to IVCS bones separately, note that there are differences from the vanilla character model hierarchy

• Basically, for male body mods, you will need extra unique models for Elezen, and for female you will need to make extra unique models for Miqo’te, Roegadyn, and Elezen

• You can make existing body mods compatible with IVCS bodies by creating modpack with your existing body with their unique models enabled, you will need to enable their unique race models in smallclothes/emperor metadata before installing IVCS Unique Racial Body Base and pack them into a modpack for installing after the IVCS Unique Racial Body Base, however, your body models won’t have the IVCS skeleton feature unless you re-rig them to IVCS

• To rig existing bodies to IVCS, the example procedure is as follows

1. Make sure your metadata of Smallclothes stuffs in TexTools is disabled so the models are still shared normally, or just do a start over

2. Import your body mod normally

3. Enable the unique race models on smallclothes, textools will automatically scale your body mod to each races that shared the models

4. Export one of the main race models e.g. female midlander, and rig it with the IVCS skeleton

5. Import the rigged model back into textools, on the main race, textools will import the custom bone weights as expected (it also can export custom weights, but not custom skeleton, set TexTools to NOT Export Complete Skeleton or the custom bone weights will be dropped)

6. You can import the model to the races that can share IVCS models listed above, note that you can’t import that model to a race outside of the NEW hierarchy for IVCS found above, the parts that are rigged with the IVCS bones will be fucked up

7. Either rig the rest of the races or somehow transfer the weights from the main race, eg; transfer weight from female midlander hands to female elezen hands, it will work fine

• ALL genital bones are in every skeleton regardless of gender

• Please tag your mods that use IVCS with the IVCS tag and mention that IVCS mod is required to avoid confusing end-users

• Please credit Illusio Vitae when releasing mods using IVCS bones

• Please don’t re-upload the IVCS base mods anywhere else, these will be put on XMA after things settles down a bit

• The skeleton mod also gives tail skeleton to races without them like Elezen, Lalafell, etc.

• The [IVCS] Unique Racial Bodies Base also make it so that child NPC does not use Male Hyur Midlander model and textures, this is intended, no more kids having abs and/or chest hair

• Male viera and Hrothgar does not have unique models in the [IVCS] Unique Racial Bodies Base Smallclothes Body and Emperor’s new Robes as it is not possible to enable the ex_ bones on them separately, this is intended and does not cause any issues
