Moving:

Stealthily: Acting without drawing visual or auditory attention to oneself.

Remain Hidden: If you are hidden, you can attempt to both remain hidden and move.

Obscurement & Cover as it relates to Stealth

A creature cannot hide from a creature which can clearly see them.

Lightly obscured. A creature can remain hidden when they are lightly obscured.

To detect a lightly obscured hidden creature, a perceiving creature rolls a Wisdom (Perception) check. If they succeed, they hear the hidden creature, and know it is to their left, right, front, or back. If they succeed by 5 or more, they see the hidden creature and know their location.

Heavily obscured. A creature can hide when they are heavily obscured. To detect a heavily obscured creature, a perceiving creature rolls a Wisdom (Perception) check. If they succeed, they hear the hidden creature, and know it is to their left, right, front, or back. Success cannot allow them to see the creature and know its location.

Half Cover & Lightly Obscured. The perceiving creature must succeed by 7 or more to see the hidden creature.

Three-Fourths Cover & Lightly Obscured. The perceiving creature must succeed by 10 or more to see the hidden creature.

Total Cover. The hiding creature is heavily obscured from those it has total cover from.

Variant Features

Keen Hearing. If you hear a noise, you know the exact location it came from. This means that if you hear a creature as a result of a Stealth vs. Perception contest, you know their exact location.

Keen Sight. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. This means that creatures cannot hide from you while they are lightly obscured.

Keen Smell. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell. When attempting to Perceive the location of a hidden creature, roll an additional Wisdom (Perception) check. If this check succeeds, you smell the creature is to your left, right, front, or back.

Wood Elf: Mask of the Wild. When you are lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, or other natural phenomena, you may attempt to hide as if you were already hidden.
