Lupinranger vs. Patoranger

New Mechanics

Attachment Keyword Cards – Spend the energy cost of this card. You may activate this effect immediately or attach it to another player's character card for later use/defense at 0 cost.

Steal Action- When defeating a card with a steal action the ranger may take that card to negate the energy cost of one card.

Lock Action – Prevent all text excluding damage dealing from activating on an enemy card for 1 turn.

Deck Goals – Fit the opposite Ranger in with the other team while maintaining aspects of the main team.

X Trains Lock and Steal depending on Form

X-Change  – Defensive when Lupin Offensive when Pat. Encourage Switching Often.

Rangers

Lupin Red – Kairi Yano

Ability: Calling Card – At the start of battle declare that one enemy is your target and place a Calling card under them. When any ranger successfully deals damage to that enemy they gain 1 energy.

Alt Ability: Fortitude of a Phantom Thief – Once per battle If you successfully perform a steal action you may immediately place the top 2 cards of your discard on top of your deck.

Deck

1 – Victory Striker 

Cost: 3  Shields: 3  Attack: 3 Attachment 

If there are 2 or more rangers in the same battle roll double the dice.

Flip Effect: When flipping this card to defend, gain 2 energy.

2 – Magnum Barrage 

Cost: 2  Shields: 1  Attack: 1

Choose 3  targets and deal the same damage to each. Add a die for each target with a Keyword [Fast/Guard/Passive].

2 – Cut and Run 

Cost: 0  Shields: 2  Attack: 2

Gain 1 energy. This attack ignores guard.

2 – Opening Salvo 

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Attack: 2

Split the damage from this attack between up to 3 cards. Add 1 damage if a target card has not been damaged yet.

1 – Dial Fighters

Cost: 1  Shields: 1  Maneuver

Roll 2 dice. If your result equals or exceeds the remaining health of your target you may steal it and place it on your character card. This card may be used to negate the energy cost of one card you choose to activate.

Flip Effect: You may discard one card to perform the card effect with an extra die.

2 – Stylish Dodge

Cost: 2  Shields: 2  Reaction

Play when taking damage to gain 1 energy and immediately play another card. If the card played is Dial Fighter then add a die to your steal attempt.

Lupin Blue – Touma Yoimachi

Ability: Short Sighted – Once per battle you may spend one energy to remove a card from your discard and place it on top of your deck.

Alt Ability: Our Rule – Once per battle when another ranger takes damage you may attempt a steal action.

Deck

1 – Magic

Cost: 1  Shields: 1  Attack: 2 Attachment

For each miss rolled with this attack deal 1 damage to a card of your choice.

Flip Effect: When flipped for defence the user may gain 1 energy and make a 1 die attack. 

2 – Aerobic Slash

Cost: 2  Shields: 2  Attack: 3

Split the damage between up to 2 enemies. If any enemy is defeated with this card you may return it to the top of your deck.

 

2 – Measured Response

Cost: 0  Shields: 2  Attack 1 

Discard a card from your hand to draw the top three cards of your deck and place them back on top of the deck in any order.

2 – Reluctant Affection 

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Reaction

When another ranger makes a roll you may play this card to allow them to reroll 1 miss. If there are no misses remaining place a card from your discard into your hand and gain one energy.

1 – Dial Fighters

Cost: 1  Shields: 1  Maneuver

Roll 2 dice. If your result equals or exceeds the remaining health of your target you may steal it and place it on your character card. This card may be used to negate the energy cost of one card you choose to activate.

Lupin Yellow – Umika Hayami

Ability: Team Player – When attempting to perform a steal action add one die if another ranger is in the battle.

Alt Ability: Civilian Disguise – Once per battle when another ranger makes an attack you may spend 1 energy to perform a 3 die attack.

Deck

1 – Scissors and Blade

Cost: 2  Shields: 3  Attack: 2 Attachment

Perform this attack twice. The second attack may target another card.

Flip Effect: When flipping this card for defense the user may immediately make a 2 die attack.

2 – Safe! Safe!

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Reaction

When any ranger takes damage from an attack play this card to give that ranger 2 energy. 

 

2 – Here's a Tip

Cost: 1  Shields: 1  Maneuver

Choose any ranger. That ranger may gain an energy and look at the top card of their deck.

2 – Fight Dirty

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Attack: 3 damage

Split the damage of this attack between up to 3 enemies. The next ranger to attack will get an extra die on their attack.

Professional Pride  – Whenever you use an attachment Card add 2 attack dice or 1 shield 

Silver Flash  – After a battle ends you may move yourself and one other ranger to another zone.

You may inflict half the damage done to an adjacent enemy card

You may spend 1 energy to roll 3 die and attempt to steal an enemy card 

2 – Arsene’s Legacy

Cost: 2  Shields: 1  Reaction

When another Ranger plays an Attack or Maneuver you may play this card to mimic the action.

2 –  X Sword

If this card is present in the discard pile do 3 damage to an adjacent card.

2 – You On Board?

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Maneuver

Gain 2 Energy

You may pull a ranger into the current battle. 

2 – Body Block

Cost: 0  Shields: 3  Reaction 

Play this when a ranger would take damage and perform the corresponding effect

Roll 2 die. If both hit the attack ricochets and hits the enemy for half damage rounded up. If not take the damage yourself

Lupin X/Patren X – No?l Takao

Patren X Ability: Dazzling – Increase the attack die of any attack card by one. Perform the Patren X Ability on your cards.

Lupin X Ability: Full Metal – Increase the shield count of any card used for defense by 1. Perform the Lupin X Ability on your cards.

Cost: 3  Shields: 2  Attack: 4

Lupin X: You may inflict half the damage done to an adjacent enemy card

Patren X: You may split the damage between up to 3 targets.

1 – X-Change

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Maneuver

Gain 2 energy and flip your Character Card

2 – X Trains Fire & Thunder

Cost: X  Shields: 1  Maneuver

Lupin X: You may spend 1 energy to roll 3 die and attempt to steal an enemy card 

Patren X: You may spend 0 energy to Lock an enemy cards effect for 1 turn

Flip effect: You may use the effect that does not match your current form. 

2 –  X Rod & Sword

Cost: 2  Shields: 1  Attack 2

Lupin X: If this card is present in the discard pile do 3 damage to an adjacent card.

Patren X: Perform this Attack Twice. You may choose a different target for the second attack.

2 – Double Agent (Potential Alt Names: Give and Take, Backup)

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Maneuver

Gain 1 Energy

Lupin X: You may pull a ranger into the current battle. 

Patren X: At the end of this battle you may move to a Zone with another ranger present.

2 – Body Block

Cost: 0  Shields: 2  Reaction 

Play this when a ranger would take damage and perform the corresponding effect

Lupin X: Roll 2 die. If both hit the attack ricohets and hits the enemy for half damage rounded up. If not take the attack yourself

Patren X: Roll 2 die. if both miss negate the damage entirely. If not take the damage yourself. 

Patren X – No?l Takao

Intel from HQ  – Once per round you can look at the top 3 cards of the enemy deployment deck

Keep the Peace  – When starting a battle with another ranger. Each ranger can the top card of their discard pile and place it on the bottom of their deck.

You may split the damage between up to 3 targets.

1 – X Train Thunder

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Maneuver

You may spend X energy to Lock an enemy cards effect for the duration of this battle. Dies nor include damage dealing

2 – Auric Assault

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Attack 2

Gain 1 Energy.

If you are the only ranger in this battle add 1 die to the attack roll. 

2 –  X Rod

Cost: 2  Shields: 1  Attack 3

Perform this Attack Twice. You may choose a different target for the second attack.

2 – Loose Canon

Cost: 0  Shields: 1  Maneuver

Gain 2 Energy

You may eject from battle and move to another zone excluding the Command Center/HQ

2 – Harcore Parkour

Cost: 0  Shields: 3  Reaction 

Play this when you would take damage

Roll 3 die. If the hits rolled is greater than or equal to 4 negate the damage entirely. If not take the damage yourself plus the result of your roll.

Patren Ichigou(#1) – Keiichiro Asaka

Ability: Stubborn – Once per battle when you must discard a card in your hand you may instead activate its effect. 

Ability: ACAB (Alt Name: Give up my Badge)- Once per battle allow another ranger to reduce the cost of a card by 2.

Deck

1 – Siren Striker

Cost: 3  Shields: 3  Attack: 4 Attachment

If there are 2 or more rangers in the same battle double the damage.

Flip effect: When defending using this card you may spend 1 energy to reflect the attack and deal half damage to an enemy card of your choice.

2 – MegaBo Blitz

Cost: 0  Shields: 1 Attack: 2

If you defeat an enemy with this card return it to your hand.

2 – Hot Blooded Charge

Cost: 1  Shields: 2  Attack: 1

Discard a card from your hand to add 2 dice to this attack roll.

2 – Justice Prevails

Cost: 0 Shields: 2  Maneuver

Gain one energy and place the bottom card from your discard onto the bottom of your deck.

1 – Trigger Machine

Cost: 1  Shields: 1  Maneuver

You may Lock a card's extra ability for a turn. This effect does not prevent the card from dealing damage.

Flip Effect: You may discard one card to perform the card effect.

2 – Armored Block

Cost: 2  Shields: 3  Reaction

When any ranger receives damage play this card before any extra effect resolves to decrease that damage by two and immediately play another card. If the card played is Trigger Machine you may decrease it's cost by 1.

Patren Nigou(#2) – Sakuya Hikawa

Ability: Crack Shot – Sakuya may initiate and participate in a battle in a Zone he is not currently in. This effect may not be used from the HQ/Command Center

Ability: Cover Fire – Once per battle you may choose to add 1 die to another rangers attack or 1 shield to another rangers defence.

Satoru Shinonome – Ability: Tactical Retreat – When performing the move action you may bring one ranger in your zone with you

Deck

1 – Crane and Drill

Cost: 2 Shields: 2  Attack: 4 Attachment

Ignore guard when choosing a target for this attack.

Deal half damage to an adjacent enemy card.

Flip Effect: When flipping this card to defend deal 2 damage to the first two enemy cards.

2 – Ricochet Burst

Cost: 1 Shields: 1  Attack: 2

Ignore guard when choosing a target for this attack. If no misses are rolled then gain 1 energy.

2 – Rookie Move

Cost: 0  Shields: 2  Maneuver

Allow another ranger to play the top card of their deck and gain an energy.

2 – Reach Out

Cost: 0  Shields: 2  Reaction

You may use this card after an enemy card is destroyed. All rangers may gain 1 energy or look at the top 2 cards of their deck and place them back in any order.

You may Lock a card's extra ability for a turn. This effect does not prevent the card from dealing damage.

Patren Sangou(#3) – Tsukasa Myoujin

Ability: Cooler Heads – When a battle is started including Tsukasa and another ranger. You and a ranger of your choice may gain one energy.

Ability: Tenacious: Once per battle when defeating an enemy you may place 2 cards from your discard pile at the bottom of your deck.

Deck

1 – Biker

Cost: 1  Shields: 1  Attack: 3 Attachment

Do 1 damage to all adjacent enemy cards.

Flip Effect: When flipping for defense you may gain 1 energy.

2 – Leg Lock

Cost: 0  Shields: 2  Attack:2

When this card is attacked next add 1 die to the till and gain 1 energy.

2 – Now We're Even

Cost: 1  Shields: 1 Maneuver

Immediately play a card and if that card requires rolling add 1 die to the roll. After that card resolves another ranger may play a card with 2 additional dice.

2 – CQC Master

Cost: 2  Shields: 3  Attack 1

Deal 1 damage to 1 adjacent card for each other participant in this battle (Ranger or Enemy).

1 – Trigger Machine

You may Lock a card's extra ability for a turn. This effect does not prevent the card from dealing damage.

Ability: During Setup place the Lupin Red, Blue, and Yellow character cards under this card.

Create a deck of cards using the rules for Legendary Ranger Mode Rules from the corresponding decks.

Once per battle you may use the effect of a "Once Per Battle" or "At the Start of Battle" card under this one.

Patren Ugou

Ability: During Setup place the Patren #1, #2, and #3 character cards under this card.

Create a deck of cards using the rules for Legendary Ranger Mode Rules from the corresponding decks.

Once per battle you may use the effect of a "Once Per Battle" or "At the Start of Battle" card under this one.
