Knight of Solamnia (Fighter Martial Archetype)

Level 3
To be able to choose the Knight of Solamnia Martial Archetype, the character must be proficient with History Skill. It's a fundamental part of the Solamnic Knight’s life and duty to know your superiors, hierarchy and heraldry.

Knight of the Crown
The character was accepted into the ranks of the Knights of the Crown, the first tier of the Order of the Knights of Solamnia. When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you choose one skill between Persuasion or Religion and become proficient with it.

Knightly Courage
You may add your Charisma or Wisdom modifier as bonus on saving throws against Charm and Fear effects.

Strength of Honor
You may channel your steadfast dedication to the knighthood into great feats of strength. On your turn, after a failed Strength check, you may roll again this check. You must keep this second roll, even if it is worse than the first one. If the check is an attack roll and you score a hit with this new roll, you may add a +2 damage bonus on your damage roll. You can use this feature once per short or long rest.

Level 7
Once the character gain the 7th Fighter level and her second Martial Archetype feature, she has to make a decision. She has to choose between remaining within the Knights of the Crown or be promoted into the ranks of the Knights of the Sword, the second tier of the Solamnic Knights. The character must be proficient with Religion skill and be accepted by the Knights of the Sword, otherwise she cannot take any of the Knight of the Sword exclusive features, receiving the Knight of the Crown exclusive feature instead.

Knight of the Crown Exclusive Features

Heroic Initiative
A Knight’s life demand readiness for danger all times. The character cannot be surprised. Additionally, she receives a +3 bonus on all her initiative checks. This bonus increases to +5 at the 15th level.

Honorable Will
The character may choose to add her Charisma or Wisdom modifier (Player’s Choice) on her attack and damage rolls within the Action Surge.

Might of Honor
Starting at 7th level, the bonus granted by Strength of Honor is increased to +3 instead of +2. Additionally, you may use Strength of honor twice per short or long rest.

Knight of the Sword
This feature works exactly like the Paladin’s Divine Sense class feature. Player’s handbook. Page 84.

Smite Evil
This feature works exactly like the Cleric’s War Domain Divine Strike Class Feature. Player’s handbook. Page 63.

Spellcasting
Kiri-Jolith grants blessings to the Knights of the Sword. That give them strength in battle, the power to defeat dangerous opponents, and the ability to protect others in need. As a conduit for Kiri-Jolith’s divine power, you cast spells using your Wisdom Ability Score. See chapter 10 of the Player’s Handbook for the general rules of spellcasting. The Knight of Sword use a new Spell Slot Table, and Spell List. Check it on the table below.

Cantrips

The character knows three cantrips of your choice from the Knight of the Sword Spell List.
You learn an additional cantrip at the 11th level.(Knight of The Sword Only)

Level 10
Once the character gain the 10th Fighter level and her third Martial Archetype feature, she has to make a decision. She has to choose between remaining within the Knights of the Sword or be promoted into the ranks of the Knights of the Rose, the last tier of the Solamnic Knights. The character must be accepted by the Knights of the Rose otherwise she cannot take the Knight of the Rose exclusive feature, receiving the Knight of the Sword exclusive feature instead.

Knight of the Crown Exclusive Feature

Fight to the Death
Starting at 10th level, the Knight of the Crown is an unwavering force of good. Wherever she get to 0 hit points, she automatically restore 1 hit point and receives 1 failure on her death saving throw. The character die normally when she reaches 3 death saving throw counts.

Knight of the Rose Exclusive Feature


Knight of the Rose
A Knight of the Rose can inspire courage in his allies. Every time the character use the Action Surge feature, she may choose another ally who can hear and understand her to give immediately an action with an Attack and Damage Bonus equal to the Knight of the Rose’s Charisma Modifier. Additionally, the character keep her spellcasting progression as if her still a Knight of the Sword. Except for the Cantrips.

Level 11
At this point on they careers, the Knights of the Sword and Rose have already turn they focus to the Divine aspect of the Solamnic Knights becoming more like a Cleric instead a Fighter. Only a Knight of the Crown will receive the Extra Attack Feature from the Fighter class. The Knight of Sword/Rose receives the Aura of Courage Class Feature instead.

This feature works exactly like the Paladin’s Aura of Courage Class Feature. Player’s handbook. Page 85. Except for the radius improvement at the 18th level

Level 15

Knight of the Crown Exclusive Feature


Against All Odds
Starting at 15th level if an enemy attack against you is a critical hit and you are wearing heavy armor, the enemy must reroll this attack and use the second roll.

Knight of the Sword Exclusive Feature

Channel Divinity: Guided Strike
This feature works exactly like the Cleric’s War Domain Channel Divinity: Guided Strike Class Feature. Player’s handbook. Page 63.

Channel Divinity: Destroy Undead

When an undead fails its saving throw against your Turn Undead feature, the creature is instantly destroyed if its challenge rating is at or below a 2.




Knight of the Rose Exclusive Features

Rallying Cry
Starting at 15th level your duty and honor inspire your allies to fight harder for Solamnia. As an action, all other creatures within 30 feet of you that are allied with you gain temporary hit points equal to your fighter level, provided that the creature can see or hear you. Additionally all creatures affected by Rallying Cry may move immediately a number of feet equal 5 plus 5 x Charisma Modifier. You can use this feature once per short or long rest.

Level 18

Knight of the Crown Exclusive Feature


Crown of knighthood
When she reaches 18th level, a Knight of the Crown is the living embodiment of the principles of honor, obedience, and loyalty. She receives the Aura of Courage feature like the other two fellow Knights Orders (see above). Additionally, the bonus of Strength of Honor increases to +5 instead of +3 and you can use it now three times per short or long rest.

Knight of the Sword Exclusive Feature

Kiri-Jolith’s Blessing
Starting at 18th level, the character’s Smite Evil feature damage increases to 2d8 plus Wisdom Modifier.

Improved Channel Divinity: Destroy Undead

When an undead fails its saving throw against your Turn Undead feature, the creature is instantly destroyed if its challenge rating is at or below a 3.

Knight of the Rose Exclusive Features


Final Stand
Everytime an allied creature who can see or hears you fails a saving throw, you may spend one of your Indomitable class feature to immediately allow this ally to reroll this saving throw.

 



Level 20
As before, the Knights of the Sword and Rose do not receive the Extra Attack feature from the Fighter Class, Only the Knights of the Crown does. Both Sword and Rose Knights will receive these new features instead.

Knight of the Sword Exclusive Feature

Soul of Knighthood
When she reaches 20th level, a Knight of the Sword is the living embodiment of knightly devotion to the deities of Good and the principles of the Solamnic Knights. All her weapon damage are now considered Radiant Damage.
Additionally, the character may call upon Kiri-Jolith to be bathed in holy energy. You may active this effect as a bonus action. Any creature has disadvantage on all Attack Roll against you. If an attacking creature is an Undead or Fiend, additionally to the previous effect, it has to make a Wisdom Saving Throw against you (DC = 8 + your Wisdom Modifier + your Proficiency Modifier) or they will become blinded. This effect lasts until the end of the encounter and can be used once per long rest.

Knight of the Rose Exclusive Features

Knighthood’s Flower

When she reaches 20th level, a Knight of the Rose is the living embodiment of all that the Solamnic Knights stand for: honor, wisdom, and justice. The character is Immune to Charm effects and her Aura of Courage feature increase the radius to 30 feet instead of 10 feet.
Additionally, the character may pray to Jiri-Jolith, asking the goddess to bestow a blessing of wisdom and foresight to better guide her allies. Using an action, she may give all allied creatures (excluding herself) who can see and hear her a +1 AC bonus, +1 Attack Bonus and these creatures cannot be surprised. This effect last 100 minutes. You may use this feature once per long rest.
