Mass Effect: Arms and Armor

Arms and Armor

Weapons Catalog

The following is a list of available weapons in the Mass Effect universe in 2173. Tier 1 weapons require manufacturer licenses in order to purchase and sell them. Most seasoned mercs and soldiers already have these licenses and can access them without much trouble. All weapons can only be slotted with one ammunition upgrade. Tier 1 weapons can be fitted with one weapon upgrade. Tier 2 weapons are much harder to come across and are usually only available to PMCs, C-SEC, and government militaries. Tier 2 weapons can be fitted with two weapon upgrades. Tier 3 weapons are heavily controlled and are usually only available to SPECTREs and other elite tactical units. These weapons cannot be bought at stores and require either influential political contacts or strong underground connections. Tier 3 weapons can be fitted with three weapon upgrades.

Armor in the Mass Effect universe comes with a kinetic barrier that attempts to deflect high velocity objects like bullets. Tier 1 armor is of light military grade and most militias and gangs have access to them. Tier 1 armor can be outfitted with a single armor upgrade. Tier 2 armors, similar to Tier 2 weapons, are heavily controlled by government militaries and C-SEC acquisitions. These armors are also able to be slotted with two different armor upgrades. Tier 3 armors are rare and dangerous to acquire without the proper contacts. They are used by elite special forces like Asari Commandos, SPECTERs, or the Salarian Spec-Ops. These armors can be slotted with three different upgrades. Like weapon upgrades, armor upgrades can only be slotted into armors of the same Tier or higher. Tier 1 armor mods cost about 10 000 credits. Tier 2 mods cost about 20 000 credits. Tier 3 mods cost about 30 000 credits.
